Trumbull Community Women’s membership covers a wide spectrum of ages, lifestyles, occupations, and different stages of life.  But we come together with a mutual goal: to reach beyond ourselves and find the time to give back to this town and its surrounding community.  The friendships that have developed among our members because of this spirit is one of the best things about belonging to the club.

Trumbull Community Women is actively seeking volunteers 18 and over who reside in Trumbull or a nearby community. The non-profit organization sponsors and participates in numerous local events including; the  Children’s Creative Tent at Trumbull’s Arts Festival; a Veteran’s Day celebration breakfast; Tidy-Up Trumbull, free document shredding, food drives and more. We have a lot of fun with our friends new and old while improving our community and living up to our motto “be the reason someone believes in the goodness of others”.

What We Do

In the past year Trumbull Community Women has donated in cash or in kind to the Trumbull Food Pantry, Mercy Learning Center, and Trumbull Nature and Arts Center.

In past years we have run programs to improve our environment (Tidy-Up Trumbull, free shredding event), support children and their education (Creative Arts Tent at the Trumbull Arts Festival, annual scholarship to a graduating senior), support veterans in our community, and support those in need (adopt-a-family, food drives, diaper drives.)

We have creative and fun events for the community such as the Halloween house decorating contest and the Holiday House decorating contest. 

And we have fun within our group.  We have an active book club, monthly lunches, summer picnic, holiday party and annual banquet.
